Separating the ceremony from the excursion is a conscious decision. Ceremony nights need rest, support and fast access to medical care, which is why they happen in our urban maloca. Integration days, on the other hand, are perfect for opening your senses to the Amazon.
Every excursion departs from and returns to Casa del Jaguar with a local guide, transport included and small groups. You decide how much jungle you want in your journey.

Ceremonies in the city of Iquitos, not deep in the jungle
Casa del Jaguar is located in an urban area of Iquitos, the capital of the Peruvian Amazon. Our ceremonies take place in our maloca within the city, not at a remote lodge reached after hours by boat. We say this clearly because we believe it is a real advantage for your safety and comfort.

Iquitos clinics and hospitals are a short drive from the center, on top of our pre-retreat medical screening.
